Crossword Genius

Works ever so frantically outside for all to see (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

oeuvres

'works' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'ever so frantically outside for all to see' is the wordplay.
'frantically' indicates an anagram.
'outside' is an insertion indicator.
'for all to see' becomes 'u' (universal dvd certificate).
'ever'+'so'='everso'
'everso' with letters rearranged gives 'oevres'.
'oevres' enclosing 'u' is 'OEUVRES'.

(Another definition for oeuvres that I've seen is " Bodies of (literary) works".)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
