Ross

I believe the answer is:

innards

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'works' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'old ploughs behind house' is the wordplay.
'old ploughs' becomes 'ards' (I've seen this before).
'behind' means one lot of letters go next to another.
'house' becomes 'inn' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'ards' put after 'inn' is 'INNARDS'.

'with' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for innards that I've seen before include "Insides" , "Most of haggis" , "Internal organs" , "Guts of mechanism" , "Informally, the stomach and entrails" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
