I believe the answer is:

casablanca

'picture' is the definition.
(1942 film - picture can mean a film)

'at least three accountants putting book-keeping chap' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'accountants' could be 'cas' (CA means chartered accountant) and 'cas' is located in the answer.
'book' could be 'b' (abbreviation for book) and 'b' is present in the answer.
'chap' could be 'alan' (man's name) and 'alan' is found in the remaining letters.
The remaining letters 'ca' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'in the' acts as a link.
