I believe the answer is:

lifeboat

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'end of grief' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both man-made objects as well as being singular nouns.
Maybe there's an association between them I don't understand?

'hitchcock's classic film content reflected offbeat frenzy with no' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'content' could be 'life' (life is a kind of content) and 'life' is found in the answer.
'no' could be 'o' (O resembles 0) and 'o' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'bat' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
