Interested in money, possessions and stuff (8)
I believe the answer is:
material
'stuff' is the definition.
(I know that stuff can be written as material)
'interested in money' is the wordplay.
'interested in' becomes 'mate' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'money' becomes 'rial' (I've seen this before).
'mate'+'rial'='MATERIAL'
'possessions and' acts as a link.
I am not very happy about this link. Some or all of it may be part of another bit of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for material that I've seen before include "Cloth, fabric" , "Constituents" , "Fabric or other substance" , "grave" , "Preoccupied with physical, rather than spiritual, substance" .)
