stage fright

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'anxiety' is the definition.
(I know that stage fright is a phobia)

'leg side traps start to fuel player's' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'leg' could be 'stage' (synonyms) and 'stage' is found in the answer.
'side' could be 'right' and 'right' is found in the answer.
A single letter 'f' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for stage fright that I've seen before include "Performer's fear" , "attack of nerves" , "problem for players" , "Dramatic nerves" , "state of nerves" .)
