braggadocio

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'trumpet-blowing bishop his starting point maybe ball following dance' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot understand how they can define each other.

'music party' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'music' could be 'rag' (rag is a kind of music) and 'rag' is found within the answer.
'party' could be 'do' (do is a kind of party) and 'do' is located in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Another definition for braggadocio that I've seen is " Boastful and arrogant behaviour".)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
