After scene, call for deal or settle perhaps using initial capital? (5,4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

place name

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'initial capital?' is the definition.
The answer and definition can be both related to communication as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps there's a link between them I don't understand?

'after scene call for deal or settle perhaps' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'call' could be 'name' (as in calling or naming someone something) and 'name' is found within the answer.
'settle perhaps' could be 'place' (settling is a kind of placing) and 'place' is present in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'using' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Another definition for place name that I've seen is " Map identifier".)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
