Archaic twilight occurrence, I'd say (8)
I believe the answer is:
eventide
'archaic twilight' is the definition.
'eventide' can be an answer for 'twilight' (I've seen this in another clue). I am not sure about the 'archaic' bit.
'occurrence i'd say' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'occurrence' could be 'event' (I've seen this before) and 'event' is located in the answer.
'i'd' could be 'id' and 'id' is located in the answer.
A single letter 'e' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for eventide that I've seen before include "End of the day to the poet" , "some time later?" , "The day's close (poetic)" , "End of the day (poetic)" , "late in the day?" .)
