Bargain goods in robust container (6)
I believe the answer is:
haggle
'bargain' is the definition.
(I know that haggle is a type of bargain)
'goods in robust container' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'goods' could be 'gg' (g is abbreviation for good - twice) and 'gg' is found in the answer.
'robust' could be 'hale' (in good health) and 'hale' is found in the leftover letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for haggle that I've seen before include "Wrangle over price" , "Barter" , "Argue about price, dicker" , "Try to drive a bargain" , "way, to get a good price" .)
