Be heard as unoriginal (7)
I believe the answer is:
resound
'be' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are verbs in their base form, I don't understand how one could define the other.
'heard as unoriginal' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'as' could be 'so' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'so' is present in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for resound that I've seen before include "Reverberate" , "Echo" , "ring" .)
