Beset by gender fluidity, one's put at risk (8)
I believe the answer is:
endanger
'put at risk' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'beset by gender fluidity one's' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'one' could be 'an' (an apple is one apple) and 'an' is located in the answer.
an anagram of 'gender' is 'endger' which is within the left over letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for endanger that I've seen before include "Imperil" , "Put someone at risk" , "Put in jeopardy" , "Place into peril, jeopardise" , "Hazard" .)
