Bighead meets a villain with an Irish accent (6)
I believe the answer is:
brogue
'an irish accent' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'bighead meets a villain' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'bighead' could be 'b' (head letter of 'big') and 'b' is located in the answer.
'villain' could be 'rogue' (rogue is a kind of villain) and 'rogue' is found within the answer.
No letters remain.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'with' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for brogue that I've seen before include "Stout leather shoe" , "may be on a member's end" , "Marked accent" , "Patterned shoe, accent" , "Strong outdoor shoe" .)
