Camouflaging defeat (6)
I believe the answer is:
hiding
This clue might be a double definition.
'camouflaging' is the first definition.
The definition and answer can be both to do with perception as well as being present participle verbs.
Perhaps there's a link between them I don't understand?
'defeat' is the second definition.
(I have seen 'Severe defeat ' mean 'hiding' so perhaps 'defeat' could also mean 'hiding')
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for hiding that I've seen before include "Hushing up" , "Place of concealment" , "Beating; keeping out of sight" , "Evading capture," , "Thrashing; lying low" .)
