Catching in net at sea, seeking fish (10)
I believe the answer is:
entangling
'catching' is the definition.
The answer and definition can be both to do with contact as well as being present participle verbs.
Maybe there's a link between them I don't understand?
'net at sea seeking fish' is the wordplay.
'at sea' indicates anagramming the letters.
'seeking fish' becomes 'angling' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'net' with letters rearranged gives 'ent'.
'ent'+'angling'='ENTANGLING'
'in' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for entangling that I've seen before include "Causing involvement" , "Capturing" .)
