Chance to succeed in game with relatives (4-2)

I believe the answer is:
look-in
'chance' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'game with relatives' is the wordplay.
'game' becomes 'loo' (historical card game).
'with' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'relatives' becomes 'kin' (kin can mean relatives or family).
'loo'+'kin'='LOOK-IN'
'to succeed in' is the link.
I am not very happy about this link. Some or all of it may be part of another bit of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for look-in that I've seen before include "Watch TV (colloq.)" , "Make a short visit of visual sort?" , "Chance of success" .)
