Didn't sit inside and was conspicuous (5,3)
I believe the answer is:
stood out
'was conspicuous' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'didn't sit inside and' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'and' could be 'too' and 'too' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for stood out that I've seen before include "very noticeable" , "Was proud" , "Offered resistance - didn''t go unnoticed" , "Was conspicuous" .)
