Dig out Introduction to Ethics by philosopher (6)
![Ross](/clue/static/ross-mug.min.png)
I believe the answer is:
exhume
'dig' is the definition.
The answer and definition can be both to do with social activities as well as being verbs in their base form.
Perhaps you can see an association between them that I don't see?
'introduction to ethics by philosopher' is the wordplay.
'introduction to' suggests taking the first letters.
'by' becomes 'x' (2 by 4 is 2 x 4).
'philosopher' becomes 'hume' (David Hume).
The initial letter of 'ethics' is 'e'.
'e'+'x'+'hume'='EXHUME'
'out' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for exhume that I've seen before include "Dig up, unearth" , "Dig up (a body)" , "opposite of 5 [ENTOMB]" , "Disinter a dead body" , "Dig up (a corpse)" .)
