Downshifted drive to, say, moorage in a storm (3,4)
I believe the answer is:
low gear
'storm' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't understand how one could define the other.
I don't understand the rest of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for low gear that I've seen before include "for hill-climbing?" , "one crawls along in?" , "Engine (uphill) setting" , "which is needed for hills" , "It's engaged while driving up or down a steep hill" .)
