'rising every morning' is the wordplay.
'rising' says the letters should be written backwards (going up in a down clue).
'every' becomes 'all' (similar in meaning).
'morning' becomes 'ma' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'all' in reverse letter order is 'lla'.
