I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'trips at sea?' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both to do with motion as well as being verbs in their -s form.
Maybe they are linked in a way I don't understand?

'feel unwell aboard boat' is the wordplay.
'feel unwell' becomes 'ail' (I've seen this before).
'aboard' indicates putting letters inside.
'boat' becomes 'SS' (prefix in ship names eg SS Great Britain).
'ail' put inside 'ss' is 'SAILS'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for sails that I've seen before include "Goes by sea" , "Ship's canvas" , "Navigates" .)

I've seen this clue in The Independent.
