Flexible untruths told by chap with lisp (5)
I believe the answer is:
lithe
'flexible' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'untruths told by chap with lisp' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'chap' could be 'he' and 'he' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'lit' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for lithe that I've seen before include "Able to move and bend gracefully" , "quick to move" , "Physically supple, agile" , "Don -, opera by Verdi" , "showing great athletic ability" .)
