Fruit from two different trees (9)
I believe the answer is:
pineapple
'fruit' is the definition.
(I know that Pineapple is a fruit)
'two different trees' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'trees' could be 'pine' and 'pine' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'apple' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'from' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for pineapple that I've seen before include "bomb" , "One may go off" , "Juicy tropical fruit or slang hand grenade" , "that might go off?" , "Large juicy tropical fruit, or a grenade" .)
