Further insurance against the batsman's getting a run? (5,5)
I believe the answer is:
extra cover
'further insurance' is the definition.
'extra cover' can be an answer for 'insurance' (I have seen 'Greater insurance' mean 'extra cover' so perhaps 'insurance' could also mean 'extra cover'). I'm not certain of the 'further' bit.
'against the batsman's getting a run?' is the wordplay.
'against' means one lot of letters go next to another.
'the batsman's getting' becomes 'cover' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'a run?' becomes 'extra' (cricket run).
'cover' put after 'extra' is 'EXTRA COVER'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for extra cover that I've seen before include "Cricket fielder - more insurance?" , "Cricketer" , "Greater insurance" .)
