Game derived partly from polo? (3)
I believe the answer is:
loo
'game' is the definition.
(historic card game found in Jane Austen novels)
'derived partly from polo?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'from' could be 'o' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'o' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'lo' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for loo that I've seen before include "A colloquial toilet" , "The little room - card game" , "Toilet (informal)" , "Card-game" , "bog" .)
