Great to be done (11)
I believe the answer is:
outstanding
'great' is the definition.
(I know that great can be written as outstanding)
'be done' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'be' could be 'stand' (standing is a kind of being) and 'stand' is found within the answer.
'done' could be 'u' and 'u' is found within the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'to' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for outstanding that I've seen before include "Superb" , "Not paid yet" , "Unpaid" , "Great" , "brilliant" .)
