Haul knight out of Asgard, say? (5)
I believe the answer is:
heave
'haul knight' is the definition.
'heave' can be an answer for 'haul' (I've seen this before). I am not certain of the 'knight' bit.
'out of asgard say?' is the wordplay.
'out of' means one lot of letters goes inside another (some letters on the outside of others).
'asgard' becomes 'e' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'say?' becomes 'have' (saying is a kind of having).
'e' placed inside 'have' is 'HEAVE'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for heave that I've seen before include "Tug-of-war cry" , "Move with an effort" , "gag" , "cast like this" , "Pull something heavy" .)
