'hobson's choice with only' is the definition.
I know nothing about this answer so I cannot tell whether it can be defined by this definition.

'sugar cubes?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'sugar' could be 'lump' (lump sugar is a kind of sugar) and 'lump' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for like it or lump it that I've seen before include "If not digging, stick" , "Enjoy it or put up with it (4,2,2,4,2)" , "You're stuck with that" , "accept this willy-nilly" , "Dismissive remark" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
