In university, arrived to speak on card game (9)
I believe the answer is:
cambridge
'in university' is the definition.
'Cambridge' can be an answer for 'university' (Cambridge University is an example). I'm unsure of the 'in' bit.
'arrived to speak on card game' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'game' could be 'bridge' (card game) and 'bridge' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'cam' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for cambridge that I've seen before include "Old English university" , "English city" , "place of learning" , "Light blue university?" , "English university, rowing colour blue" .)
