Keen learner pulls over (4)
I believe the answer is:
swot
'keen learner' is the definition.
'swot' can be an answer for 'learner' (swot is a kind of learner). I'm not certain of the 'keen' bit.
'pulls over' is the wordplay.
'pulls' becomes 'tows' (tow is a kind of pull).
'over' says the letters should be written in reverse.
'tows' back-to-front is 'SWOT'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for swot that I've seen before include "Hard-working student" , "Mug up" , "Very keen pupil" , "Intensive studier" , "Student who studies harder than others" .)
