Lincoln to the west borders quiet ancient kingdom (5)
I believe the answer is:
sheba
'ancient kingdom' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'lincoln to the west borders quiet' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'quiet' could be 'sh' ('sh' is used to tell someone to be quiet) and 'sh' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for sheba that I've seen before include "Hence Queen" , "Biblical kingdom" , "Ancient Kingdom of the Sabeans" , "Biblical queen's realm" , "Biblical queen's land" .)
