Member of the Resistance vocal on the circuit (8)
I believe the answer is:
resistor
'member of the resistance' is the definition.
'resistor' can be an answer for 'resistance' (synonyms). I'm not certain of the 'member of the' bit.
'vocal on the circuit' is the wordplay.
'vocal' becomes 'resist' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'on' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'the circuit' becomes 'or' (or circuit is a kind of circuit).
'resist'+'or'='RESISTOR'
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for resistor that I've seen before include "It obstructs current" , "Electrical device" , "Circuit component" , "Electronic component" , "Manipulator of current" .)
