Crossword Genius

Member set up most of the correct inheritance (10)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

birthright

'inheritance' is the definition.
(I know that birthright is a type of inheritance)

'member set up most of the correct' is the wordplay.
'member' becomes 'rib' (I have seen 'structural member' mean 'rib' so perhaps 'member' could also mean 'rib').
'set up' shows that the letters should be reversed in order.
'most of' means to remove the last letter.
'correct' becomes 'right' (synonyms).
'rib' in reverse letter order is 'bir'.
'the' with its last letter taken away is 'th'.
'bir'+'th'+'right'='BIRTHRIGHT'

(Other definitions for birthright that I've seen before include "Something possessed from beginning of life" , "Privilege" , "entitlement" , "inheritance" , "Esau sold his" .)

I've seen this clue in The Daily Mail.
