Crossword Genius

More impetuous breakfast? (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

rasher

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'more' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how one could define the other.

'impetuous breakfast?' is the wordplay.
'impetuous' becomes 'rash' (I've seen this in another clue).
'breakfast?' becomes 'er' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'rash'+'er'='RASHER'

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for rasher that I've seen before include "Piece of bacon (6)" , "Thin slice of bacon" , "a little streaky?" , "Comparatively ill-advised" , "food cooked in fat?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Mirror.
