Crossword Genius

Move from one bed to another (10)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

transplant

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'move' is the definition.
(transplant is a kind of move)

'one bed to another' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'one' could be 'an' (an apple is one apple) and 'an' is located in the answer.
'another' could be 'r' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'r' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'from' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for transplant that I've seen before include "tricky operation" , "Change of heart" , "Lift and reset in another soil or situation" , "Surgical transfer" , "Transfer to another situation" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
