Run out of clothes? (6)
I believe the answer is:
streak
'run out of clothes' is the definition.
(to streak is to run while naked)
'run' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'run' could be 'r' (cricket abbreviation) and 'r' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'steak' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

(Other definitions for streak that I've seen before include "Stripe in the hair, say" , "Run naked; long mark" , "Spell (of good luck)" , "Race" , "Unbroken series, of luck say" .)
