Crossword Genius

Muscle building with ties, could be bits and pieces (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

biceps

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'muscle' is the definition.
(biceps is a kind of muscle)

'building with ties could be bits and pieces' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'building' could be 'ice' (ice is a kind of building) and 'ice' is found within the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for biceps that I've seen before include "Forearm-flexing muscle" , "Arm workers" , "Muscles on upper arms" , "Contractor" , "One operating arm" .)

I've seen this clue in The Hindu.
