New money from abroad to encourage theatre operator? (12)
![Ross](/clue/static/ross-mug.min.png)
I believe the answer is:
neurosurgeon
'theatre operator?' is the definition.
The answer and definition can be both people as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps they are linked in a way I don't understand?
'new money from abroad to encourage' is the wordplay.
'new' becomes 'n' (abbreviation as in New Testament NT).
'money from abroad' becomes 'euros' (I am not sure about this - if you are sure you should believe this answer much more).
'to encourage' becomes 'urgeon' (urging on is a kind of encouraging).
'n'+'euros'+'urgeon'='NEUROSURGEON'
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for neurosurgeon that I've seen before include "doctor" , "One operating on brain, spinal cord, etc" , "top person in theatre" .)
