One of the young high-fliers (6)
I believe the answer is:
eaglet
'one of the young' is the definition.
'eaglet' can be an answer for 'young' (eaglet is a kind of young). I am not sure about the 'one of the' bit.
I don't understand how the rest of the clue works.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for eaglet that I've seen before include "another of the golden generation?" , "Young keen-sighted bird" , "A young bird of prey, lives in eyrie" , "Young lawyer" , "Raptor chick" .)
