Plant fibre has room to turn and dodge (9)
I believe the answer is:
cellulose
'plant fibre' is the definition.
'cellulose' can be an answer for 'fibre' (I have seen 'dietary fibre' mean 'cellulose' so perhaps 'fibre' could also mean 'cellulose'). I'm unsure of the 'plant' bit.
'room to turn and dodge' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'room' could be 'cell' (cell is a kind of room) and 'cell' is located in the answer.
'turn' could be 'u' (a 'U-turn' is a kind of turn) and 'u' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'lose' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'has' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for cellulose that I've seen before include "Substance in wood pulp" , "Main constituent of plant cell walls" , "Polysaccharide" , "Substance in plants -- so cull eel (anag)" , "film-makers use it" .)
