Pleasantly sharp bakery product (4)
I believe the answer is:
tart
'pleasantly sharp' is the definition.
'tart' can be an answer for 'sharp' (I've seen this before). I'm not sure about the 'pleasantly' bit.
'bakery product' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'product' could be 'tar' (I have seen 'Product of coal ' mean 'tar' so perhaps 'product' could also mean 'tar') and 'tar' is present in the answer.
A single letter 't' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for tart that I've seen before include "See 10" , "The pastry sounds bitter" , "quiche, perhaps" , "Sharp on the tongue" , "Open fruit pie" .)
