Maybe they are linked in a way I don't understand?

'sudden attacks' becomes 'jabbing' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'about' indicates putting letters inside.
'former monarch' becomes 'ER' (Elizabeth Regina, ie Queen Elizabeth).
'jabbing' going around 'er' is 'JABBERING'.
