I cannot quite see how this works, but
'caught' could be 'ran' (running is a kind of catching) and 'ran' is located in the answer.
'rabbit' could be 'bun' and 'bun' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'curt' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
