ingot

'bar' is the definition.
(block of metal, eg a bar of gold)

'pushing threesome back managed to enter' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'managed' could be 'got' (both can mean achieved or secured) and 'got' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'in' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

(Other definitions for ingot that I've seen before include "A lump of metal, perhaps gold" , "Cast metal brick" , "Brick-shaped lump of cast metal" , "Gold Stick" , "Piece of cast metal" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
