Religious wing (8)
I believe the answer is:
transept
This could be a double definition.
'religious' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't understand how they can define each other.
'wing' is the second definition.
(I've seen this before)
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for transept that I've seen before include "Cross-aisle in church" , "Arm of church body" , "Patterns in part of church at right angle to nave" , "Patterns found in parts of church" , "Something dividing church in two" .)
