See cycles by revolutionary wheel (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

cheese

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'wheel' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't understand how they can define each other.

'see cycles by revolutionary' is the wordplay.
'cycles' indicates an anagram.
'by' says to put letters next to each other.
'revolutionary' becomes 'che' (Che Guevara the Marxist revolutionary).
'see' with letters rearranged gives 'ese'.
'ese' put after 'che' is 'CHEESE'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for cheese that I've seen before include "Eg, cheddar" , "Food made from curdled milk" , "Nautical cap worn without badge" , "A big one would be important" , "Produce created from milk curds" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
