Slightly damages computer parts (5)
I believe the answer is:
chips
This clue might be a double definition.
'slightly damages' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are verbs in their -s form, I cannot understand how one could define the other.
'computer parts' is the second definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for chips that I've seen before include "Gambling counters" , "Potato slices, good with fish" , "Goodbye, Mr -, novel" , "fried in 18 [MAIZE OIL] perhaps" , "Potato pieces fried in deep fat" .)
