I cannot really understand how this works, but
'quarrel' could be 'tiff' (informal term for an argument) and 'tiff' is found in the answer.
'fed up' could be 'bored' (fed up can mean bored) and 'bored' is found within the answer.
A single letter 's' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
