Source of drug, like in music (5)
I believe the answer is:
poppy
'source of drug' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't see how one could define the other.
'like in music' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'like' could be 'y' (similar in meaning) and 'y' is found within the answer.
'music' could be 'pop' (pop music) and 'pop' is present in the answer.
A single letter 'p' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for poppy that I've seen before include "Scarlet flower worn in Remembrance" , "Remembrance Day flower" , "Bright red flower, source of opium" , "Flower of forgetfulness" , "Red wild flower" .)
