(I know that still can be written as motionless)
'cold after removing top' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'removing' could be 'less' (less can mean minus or removing) and 'less' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'motion' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
